The BankSA Amplify Signature Credit Card with up to 200,000 bonus Amplify Points

For some people, simple is better. All they want is a no-frills credit card at the lowest possible cost. For others, they may be looking for more from their card, including additional features and rewards.

Offering a range of extras, the BankSA Amplify Signature Credit Card could be a suitable option if you want more from your card. This card offers a competitive earn rate within the Amplify Rewards program, alongside a range of features and up to 200,000 bonus Amplify Points as a welcome offer. If you want to earn Qantas points, see the BankSA Amplify Signature Credit Card – Qantas.

Point calculations are accurate as of 16 January 2026 but may be subject to change without notice. All routes may have additional taxes and charges. Check on the official BankSA page for the updated calculations.

What we love...

One of the key features of the BankSA Amplify Signature Credit Card is its introductory bonus points offer. Eligible new cardholders can earn up to 200,000 bonus Amplify Points — 100,000 points in year 1 when you spend $12,000 on eligible purchases, plus an additional 100,000 points in year 2 when you spend a further $12,000 on eligible purchases.

In terms of everyday earning, the card allows you to earn points on eligible purchases, with higher earn rates on international and everyday spend categories. Once you spend $10,000 in a statement cycle, the earn rate reduces to 0.5 Amplify points per $1 on further eligible purchases.

Points earned can be redeemed for a range of options including gift cards, retail items, or travel through airline partners such as Malaysia Airlines’ Enrich and Singapore Airlines’ KrisFlyer programs.

Alternatively, if you choose to earn on the Qantas Rewards program, a different earn structure applies. Click here to view the Qantas option.

The card also comes with a discounted first year annual fee. You will pay $149 in the first year, with the standard $295 annual fee applying thereafter.

What’s not so great...

To receive the full 200,000 bonus Amplify Points, you will need to meet the minimum spend requirement in both years — $12,000 in year 1 and $12,000 in year 2 on eligible purchases. This may not suit everyone, particularly if you do not typically spend at this level.

You will not be eligible for the bonus points offer if you currently hold or have held an Amplify, Amplify Platinum or Amplify Signature card issued by BankSA, St.George or Bank of Melbourne in the last 24 months.

As with many rewards credit cards, it’s also worth considering the ongoing annual fee and interest rates on purchases and cash advances.

Why should you choose this card?

Choosing a rewards credit card should come down to whether the value of the rewards and features outweighs the costs. If you can make use of the card’s features and meet the spend criteria, this card may offer good overall value.

Cardholders can benefit from a range of features including complimentary insurances, two airport lounge passes per year, and access to the Visa Luxury Hotel Collection.

The card also offers up to 55 days interest-free on purchases and allows for an additional cardholder at no extra cost.

Hi Paul, I do see that complimentary travel insurance is included with the BankSA Amplify Signature card. In any case it’s always good to call and check to get a certificate of insurance. Allianz Global Assistance is the underwriter for BankSA, and you can reach them on 1800 091 710. Have a safe trip!

can the balance transfer be used to pay Citibank redi credit debt ?
    Roland B Bleyer - CreditCard.com.au Founder

    Roland

    18 October 2016
Hi Bev, as the Citi Ready Credit is a line of credit rather than a credit card it is not possible to transfer it. What you need to look for is a low rate personal loan that can save you interest on what you are paying with ready credit.
