The Westpac Altitude Black Credit Card offer with 80,000 bonus Qantas Points

This current offer gives you 80,000 bonus Qantas points when you spend at least $4,000 within 90 days of card approval. Premium rewards credit card from Westpac with huge credit limit and complimentary insurances. Definitely a great offer on a truly premium rewards card for big spenders.

What we love...

You can't go past the 80,000 bonus Qantas or Altitude points offer on this card. To be eligible for the bonus points you must spend $4,000 within the first 90 days of approval. Uncapped points earning lets you earn 1.25 Altitude points per $1 or 0.75 Qantas points per $1. Choose your rewards program, either Altitude Points or Qantas points.

The annual fee is $250 and you get one free additional card holder. Plus a $50 Qantas Rewards fee when you choose to earn Qantas points.

When you opt in for Qantas Rewards, membership to Qantas Frequent Flyer is free and you are eligible for two complimentary Qantas Lounge invitations per year after your first Altitude Black Card spend on selected Qantas products and services.

What’s not so great...

While the earn rate is uncapped, the earn per $1 spent is not great.

Why should you choose this card?

The Westpac Altitude Black features uncapped points earning with a choice of two excellent rewards programs, Altitude or Qantas. With Altitude Rewards you can redeem points for homewares, technology and much more. And you can transfer your points to frequent flyer points with Virgin Australia, Velocity, Singapore Airlines - KrisFlyer, Malaysia Airlines - Enrich, Air New Zealand - Airpoints and Cathay Pacific - AsiaMiles.

When you need help with restaurant bookings, flights, party planning and tickets to events you have access to a Platinum concierge service 24/7 via app. Complimentary insurances like Overseas travel insurance for up to 6 months, transit accident insurance and extended warranty.

Overall Rating

A premium rewards credit card with uncapped points earn, fantastic bonus points offer and choice of two excellent rewards programs, Altitude and Qantas. Offer ends 15 October 2019.

Hi Cherie, yes this is a separate fee charged by Westpac on top of your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership. Assume its some fee that Qantas charges Westpac then they are passing it on.
