Emirates Credit Cards

Pauline Hatch

The Emirates Citi World Mastercard is not currently open for new applications. This information has been left here for past customers and those interested.

Please note: As of 31 January 2023, the partnership between Citi Rewards, Suncorp Reward and Diners Club Rewards will end. After this date, you'll no longer be able to transfer points to Emirates Skywards from those reward programs. If you're interested in rewards programs that still transfer points to Emirates Skymiles, you can compare Qantas credit cards here, which can be transferred to Emirates Skywards miles.

Hi, Ive had the Emirates CitiWorld Mastercard for a number of years. I'm sad that they are no longer continuing with this card/Emirates partnership. I am now looking for another CC that I can earn Emirates Frequent Flyer points and am struggling to find one.

Hi there, unfortunately there aren’t any cards directly earning Emirates miles since the CitiWorld Mastercard was discontinued But, you can earn points that can be converted to Skywards miles, like Amex Membership points (2 points = 1 Skywards Mile) and CommBank (4 points = 1 Skywards Mile). Qantas Points can also be redeemed for Emirates flights (but not converted and held in your frequent flyer account – you ‘spend’ them during booking). Just check the card's rewards terms before applying. I hope that helps with your search!

Hi Rudi, not all Citi cards can earn Skywards Miles. In fact, only the Emirates Citi World Mastercard is directly linked to the Skywards Miles program. However, if you have a credit card from American Express, Citi, Diners, or Suncorp, you can transfer your reward points to your Emirates account.

Hi David, have a look at our Qantas Frequent Flyer section. Different cards will have different requirements. The amount of income you take will be important. AMEX can be friendly to Self Funded retirees. The right card will depend on the requirements to apply plus how much you will spend a month.
