The Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard

An awesome low cost credit card for Coles shoppers, the Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard provides heaps of shopping-related perks, as well as some very attractive introductory offers – all with no annual fee, ever.

Whether you always shop at Coles, or even if you don’t visit Coles that often, the Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard is a handy everyday credit card that lets you collect points as you spend. Is it enough for you, though? Let’s take a closer look to find out.

What we love...

When you take into account the fact that this card has no annual fee ever, it's a pretty good deal. As long as you pay off your balance month-to-month to avoid interest charges, you could be paying nothing for the card, while earning heaps in rewards or getting money off on your Coles shop. And the earn rate? That’s pretty simple too. You can collect 1 Flybuys point for every eligible $2 you spend.

But that’s not all. With another double introductory offer on the table, you could benefit from 0% p.a. on balance transfers for 12 months, allowing you to pay off existing credit card debt while saving big on interest.

What’s not so great...

To be honest, there’s not much not to like about the Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard. While it does have a relatively high rate of interest on cash advances and purchases, these can be avoided by paying off the balance month-to-month and saying no to the cash advance feature.

Why should you choose this card?

As an everyday credit card, this is a simple option that allows you to save money while earning rewards. Plus, there are some very handy features on offer.

As a cardholder, you can take advantage of up to 55 days interest free on purchases, allowing you to manage your spending while saving on interest. Just be aware that to receive those interest free days, you need to pay off the balance each month and have paid off any balance transfers onto the card. Just take not that you can not get the interest free period while you have a balance transfer.

For Coles shoppers, this is a very convenient card to have in your wallet. For starters, you have a credit card and Flybuys card in one, plus you can enjoy $10 off your Coles Supermarket shop instantly when you redeem 2,000 Flybuys points at the checkout in-store each time.

Overall Rating

An excellent everyday rewards card for Coles shoppers, providing shopping-related perks and some great introductory offers with no annual fee.

I have used my new credit card many times but keep getting conflicting information about the $100 offer Today I was told that I had to spend over $100 to receive it. Other times I was told to spend any amount activates the $100 offer. Not happy.

Hi I am a total newbie when it comes to balance transfer cards - how do they work? I currently owe $2000 on a NAB credit card. Do I transfer that amount to a BT card, and how long do I have to pay it off before I get charged any fees?

Hi Julie, a balance transfer is when you transfer the balance/debt you owe from one credit card company to another. Do take note though that you can transfer a balance only up to the allowed limit set by the new card, which in this case is 80% of your approved credit limit for a Coles No Annual Fee credit card. So, you need to have an approved available credit limit of at least $2500 to be able to transfer $2000. Coles No Annual Fee card allows you to pay off your balance in 12 months without interest. Any balance left when the offer period ends will revert to 19.99%. Please keep in mind that different cards have different balance transfer offers. You can also check on some of the balance transfer credit cards we have listed for more options. Hope this has helped!

I have always had a Bank credit card with an auto pay set up for full payment each month. How do I pay a Coles MasterCard balance each month?

Hi Pamela, auto-paying your credit card is a great way to make sure you never miss a payment. The Coles Mastercard has a Direct Debit feature that allows you to pay automatically. You just let coles know the details or your bank and whether you want to pay the minimum balance or the full amount. Hope this helps!
