The Queensland Country Visa Business Credit Card

Offering small business owners the opportunity to manage their cash flow more effectively, the Queensland Country Visa Business Credit Card provides up to 55 days interest free on purchases, with a low annual fee and low purchase rate. Accountholders can apply for multiple cards set with individual limits, to then earn points on the Rewarder Business program.

What we love...

Keeping things nice and simple, the Queensland Country Visa Business Credit Card can be a great tool for small business owners looking to streamline their finances. Instead of dipping into petty cash – or worse, using a personal credit card – this option allows business owners to easily track and manage business spending day to day.

For a low annual fee, accountholders can apply for multiple cards, to then set individual spending limits for each cardholder. Keeping track of cardholder spending is made easy with detailed statements provided for both the business and for each individual’s cardholder spending.

One of the most appealing aspects of this card may be its interest free feature. With up to 55 days interest free on purchases, this can help accountholders to manage their spending, easing cash flow while keeping interest costs at zero. Note, to take advantage of this feature, you will need to clear the balance by the due date each month. If you are unable to do this, you can work on keeping costs down with the card’s low interest rate.

But of course, there is more to this card than just money saving. As an accountholder, you will be automatically signed up for the Rewarder Business program at no additional cost. This allows you to earn points on all cardholder spending, which is then accumulated and can be spent anywhere in Australia that accepts EFTPOS.

What’s not so great...

There wasn’t much information available regarding the Rewarder Business program. While Queensland Country directs applicants to check out the program brochure, this was nowhere to be found. If you want to apply for this card, it would be wise to find out the earn rate on this card, and what points earned convert to in terms of dollar value.

Why should you choose this card?

If you want a fairly simple business rewards card, the Queensland Country Visa Business Credit Card could be well worth a second look. While there are other business cards out there offering more in the way of features, if simple is all you need, there’s not much point paying extra for those extras.

If you tend to carry a balance, this card could help you keep costs down with its low purchase rate, When you do clear your balance, you can work on keeping interest costs at zero by taking advantage of the card’s interest free feature. As for those rewards, they seem pretty simple, and could provide a great way to reward yourself, your team or your business.

Overall Rating

A basic business card option, the Queensland Country Visa Business Credit Card offers up to 55 days interest free on purchases, a low annual fee and interest rate, and the opportunity to earn rewards on cardholder spending.

I've found more info on the "Queensland Country Visa Business Credit Card" rewards program. It's not a flight rewards thing, it's their own one. You earn 1 point per $1 which is added to a separate EFTPOS-type card, and you can spend it like an EFTPOS card. The redemption rate is 150 points for $1, so effectively for every $150 you spend you get $1 back

Hey Simon, Thank you so much for your comment. I appreciate you digging around for the info as well. Unfortunately, the Rewarder information you've posted is for the personal credit cards, not the business one. Cheers!

Hi Dan, they will look at your personal credit for approving your business card. Therefore its unlikely that you will get approval if your credit is really bad.
