The Bank First Visa Classic Credit Card

As an award-winning card, the Bank First Visa Classic Credit Card is a fantastic option for cardholders who want to keep interest costs low, while paying no annual fee. The card offers up to 55 days interest free on purchases, alongside all the accessibility and extras Visa provides.

What we love...

With a basic card like the Bank First Visa Classic Credit Card, things are much simpler. As a no annual fee card, it also comes with a nice low interest rate plus the added benefit of allowing you to put the money you save on annual fees towards paying down your debt.

This card can be an excellent everyday card as well. You can enjoy a low rate on both purchases and cash advances, while paying zip in annual fees. As long as you clear your balance each month, you can also benefit from up to 55 days interest-free on purchases.

What’s not so great...

With the Bank First Visa Classic Credit Card you need to think simple. Simple is low rate and no annual fee. But, while there may not be any rewards points to earn or fancy features to enjoy, that doesn’t necessarily need to be a bad thing. If you want simple, then there’s not too much complain about on this card.

One thing we will point out, however, is the card’s minimum credit limit of $2,000. While it may not be a deal breaker for many cardholders, for those who want to keep a lower limit, this could be an issue.

Why should you choose this card?

The Bank First Visa Classic Credit Card provides access to credit and several handy features, while keeping costs low. This could make it the perfect choice for cardholders who carry a balance month-to-month, for those who want to keep a card in their wallet for emergencies, or those who simply want a no frills credit card that just does its job.

The card was awarded Outstanding Value within the Low Fee category by Canstar in 2018, and Experts Choice by Mozo within with No Annual Fee Credit Card category in the same year. It provides worldwide acceptance through Visa, as well as security and accessibility in a number of handy features.

Overall Rating

The Bank First Visa Classic Credit Card provides cardholders plenty of money-saving with a nice low interest rate and no annual fee, alongside up to 55 days interest free on purchases.

I am presently with Westpac Banking. We are wanting to change. We pay our Visa card off monthly and on time. We average $1000.00 monthly on our Visa card. WE also hold an additional Mastercard as a backup plan B if needed. What can you do for us.

Hi Greg, have a review of the current credit cards offers available directly on the Bank First website - https://www.bankfirst.com.au/banking/credit-cards. We are not the bank ourselves so you should reach out to them directly to see if they will be a good fit for you. You don't need to have all your products with one bank. I split my products across a range of banks based on which is best for me. I don't believe that one bank has all the right products.
