Editor’s Review: What I love about the ANNA corporate credit card

You might not have heard of ANNA Money before. The UK-based global fintech company launched in Australia in 2024 with a range of finance products. It offers an alternative to the big banks and has a client base of over 100,000 small businesses.

Its corporate charge card is a flexible, scalable and low-cost business charge card for small to large businesses. It’s designed to be a one-stop shop for your business and provides travel rewards too.

I’ll run through its standout features, then how it works for businesses.

No interest. As long as you pay the balance each month you won’t pay interest. Repayments can be set up to deduct automatically.

No foreign fees. You won’t pay foreign transaction fees when your business spends internationally, including subscriptions that are paid in overseas currencies.

Flexible credit limits: ANNA offers credit limits from $5000 up to $500,000. Just note higher credit limits are linked to higher payment tiers.

The savings on foreign fees puts this corporate card into high gear. Normally charged at 3% of the transaction amount, these savings can really add up for businesses that deal with foreign currencies.

Pricing tiers

You can choose from 4 pricing levels depending on the size of your business. The higher the tier, the more features are unlocked. These prices are per month, but a 20% discount applies if you pay an annual sum instead.

Here’s what’s included in each tier:

💳 The Starter ($39.99 a month)

The Starter ($39.99 a month) includes 2 free cardholders, up to $5000 credit limit, no foreign fees, no interest and an airport lounge pass per card.

🧰 The Essentials ($99.99 a month)

The Essentials ($99.99 a month) includes 5 free cardholders, up to $20,000 credit limit, no foreign fees, no interest and an airport lounge pass per card.

🚀 The Scale ($199.99 a month)

The Scale ($199.99 a month) includes unlimited cardholders, up to $50,000 credit limit, no foreign fees, no interest and an airport lounge pass per card.

🏢 The Custom corporate card

The Custom corporate card is tailored to your business and includes up to $500,000 credit limit, as well as unlimited cardholders, no foreign fees, no interest and a free lounge pass per card.

How the ANNA business card works for your business

The credit limit and interest rates. The ANNA card is a charge card, which means you’re able to spend freely up to your allocated credit limit, but it must be paid off in full each 30-day period to receive 0% p.a. interest. If you don’t make the payment, 2.99% of the total amount is charged as a late fee.

ANNA does make it easy to avoid late fees with an automatic repayment feature. The 0% interest feature makes juggling cashflow more cost-effective than a credit card with 20%+ p.a. interest rates.

Free employee cards. Physical employee credit cards can be ordered online or through the ANNA app and are approved within 24 hours. You can set and adjust spending limits, freeze cards and set category restrictions instantly. Just remember the number of employee cards available is limited in the Starter and Essential plans.

Integration with accounting software. Your charge card syncs with Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks or NetSuite to streamline your accounts and expenses.

📝 Note: to apply for the ANNA corporate card, you need to be a Pty Ltd company, earn in excess of $75,000 per year and have been in business for 12+ months.

Travel benefits

The travel perks on this card come from Mastercard Travel Pass. You and your cardholding employees will be able to:

  • Skip the queues with airport security fast-track access
  • Use discounts and perks at selected airport restaurants
  • Access over 1300 premium airport lounges around the world (one per card) through DragonPass.

You can also access Mastercard Priceless Specials, which offers discounts and deals on flights, hotels, car rentals, dining and experiences around the world.

What’s not so great

ANNA’s tiered fee structure is flexible, but you’d need to make sure the monthly fee is worth the benefits compared to a credit card with a lower annual fee…especially if you’re a very small business owner or entrepreneur.

This card has good travel benefits, but doesn’t earn reward points that can be redeemed for flights or hotels like a credit card.

And, while there isn’t any interest, there is a late payment fee that should be avoided.

Who suits the ANNA Money corporate charge card?

This is a card worth exploring if your business spends overseas frequently, has multiple employees and is looking to grow over the long term. Its simplified spending controls and integration also make it appealing if you want to keep accounting easy.

ANNA Money says the pricing tiers are built to reflect the needs of entrepreneurs, businesses with small teams or departments, all the way through to SME’s that need bigger credit limits.
