The Westpac Altitude Black Credit Card offer with up to 120,000 bonus Qantas Points

This current offer gives you up to 120,000 bonus Qantas points, a huge credit limit and complimentary insurance.

What we love...

Westpac gives you flexibility and choice when it comes to earning rewards, allowing you to link your Altitude Black Credit Card to one of three programs—Qantas Points, Velocity Points, or Altitude Rewards.

Qantas

If you choose to earn through the Altitude Qantas Rewards program, this offer gives you up to 120,000 bonus Qantas Points—you'll receive 90,000 bonus Qantas Points when you spend $6,000 on eligible purchases within the first 120 days of approval, plus an additional 30,000 bonus Qantas Points after making your first eligible purchase in the second year your card remains active.

Qantas Points are capped at $250,000 per year, excluding bonus points. The card’s earn rates are competitive:

  • 1.2 Qantas Points per $1 on international spend
  • 0.8 Qantas Points per $1 on everyday spend
  • 0.5 Qantas Points per $1 on all other purchases
  • Earn Qantas Points twice with program partners

After $10,000 spend in a statement period, the earn rate drops to 0.25 Qantas Points per $1 for additional purchases.

To access the Qantas Points option, there’s a $75 Qantas Rewards fee in addition to the card’s $295 annual fee, which is reduced to $150 in the first year for new customers. In return, you’ll enjoy premium perks such as two complimentary Qantas Club lounge passes each year, complimentary travel and purchase insurance, and a 24/7 Westpac Concierge service to help with dining, travel, and entertainment arrangements.

Here we are talking about the Altitude Qantas program, and if you are interested in earning Westpac Altitude Rewards points, have a look here.

What’s not so great...

While this card comes with premium features, there are a few drawbacks to consider. There’s a $75 Qantas Rewards fee each year if you choose to earn Qantas Points. It’s a small extra cost, but one to keep in mind since it comes on top of the annual card fee. For regular Qantas flyers it’s probably worth it—but if you’re not flying often, you might prefer to skip that option.

Also, after you spend $10,000 in a statement period, your points earning slows down to 0.25 Qantas Points per $1. That means if you tend to put a lot of purchases on your card each month, your rewards won’t grow as quickly once you pass that limit. Still, if you keep your spending in check, you’ll get great value from all the other perks this card offers.

Why should you choose this card?

The Westpac Altitude Black Credit Card is designed for frequent travellers and high-spending cardholders who value premium rewards, flexibility, and top-tier benefits. It features points earning with a choice of three excellent rewards programs - Altitude, Qantas, or Velocity.

With Altitude Rewards you can redeem points for homewares, technology, and much more. And you can transfer your points to frequent flyer points with Singapore Airlines - KrisFlyer, Malaysia Airlines - Enrich, Air New Zealand - Airpoints, and Cathay Pacific - AsiaMiles.

Your 24/7 Westpac Concierge service can help you with anything from booking restaurants to securing concert tickets or planning a work event. You can make requests 24/7 over the phone. You also get complimentary insurances like overseas travel insurance for up to 6 months, transit accident insurance, and extended warranty.

Overall Rating

A premium rewards credit card offering up to 120,000 bonus Qantas Points, complimentary lounge passes and insurances, and a choice of three rewards programs—Altitude, Qantas, or Velocity. It’s a top choice for those who want premium features, strong earning potential, and flexibility in how they redeem rewards.
