The NAB Low Fee Platinum Credit Card

Looking for a premium card with a simply awesome balance transfer offer? The NAB Low Fee Platinum Credit Card could very well be for you. New cardholders who apply online could enjoy 0% p.a. on balance transfers for 6 months.

Want to find out more about this offer? Want to know if this card is really for you? Luckily, you’ve come to the right place, because we can tell you all of that, and more. Settle in and read on.

What we love…

This little beauty has it all. The looks, the personality, the moves – all in one tight little plastic package. First up, let’s talk a little more about that offer. If you happen to have a credit card balance that you want to pay down, this card could help you do just that.

With this offer, you’ll pay 0% p.a. interest on your transferred balance for 6 months. This can give you some time you need to pay down that debt, while paying heaps less in interest. What do you need to know? Bear in mind, you can only transfer up to 90% of your approved credit limit. You will also need to pay a one-off 2% balance transfer fee.

But this card is not just about its offer. Sure, the offer is super-dooper-amazing, but this card has potential in the long term too. As its name would suggest, this is a premium credit card. That means it offers a variety of premium features.

One of the most prominent features is its range of complimentary insurances. Seven, to be exact. In terms of travel, the card offers overseas travel insurance, transport accident insurance, interstate flight inconvenience insurance and domestic hotel burglary insurance.

As for purchase cover, the card provides purchase protection, extended warranty and price protection insurance. Phew.

What’s not so great…

As with any credit card, there are a few little sticking points that cardholders should be aware of before they apply. Of course, there is that 2% balance transfer fee.

However, it is worth noting that any balance left unpaid at the end of the introductory period reverts to the cash advance rate. Cardholders should do their best to avoid this by paying off their transferred balance before interest starts accruing.

Why should you choose this card?

As a premium card, there are some nice features to be had. The NAB Low Fee Platinum Credit Card offers one free additional cardholder, 12 months free VIP Lost Card Cover, emergency travel assistance and special entertainment offers with Visa Entertainment. All for a lovely low annual fee (relatively speaking, of course), of $90.

Overall Rating

For anyone looking for a balance transfer offer, the NAB Low Fee Platinum Credit Card could be suitable. Great features, great low annual fee, just keep an eye on the details.

Hi Paula, Citi are the only issuer that accept personal loan debt. The Citi Rewards Platinum has the longest 0% balance transfer offer. If you are looking for a balance transfer fee free offer. Then the Virgin Australia Velocity Flyer with 0% for 18 months is your best bet.

Hi Scott, unfortunately Citi are the only issuer that accept loan debt. You cannot transfer Citi debt to a Citi balance transfer offer. I would look for a low rate personal loan to transfer the current Ready Credit balance to. One that has a much lower interest rate and is outside of Citi. From there, say in a years time, you could look to transfer this personal loan to a Citi balance transfer offer, subject to credit approval.
