{data:special_offer}Westpac Credit Cards -- How Would You Like Your Interest?
On the surface multiple Westpac credit cards just look like simple no-frills options. But there's a subtle difference in one area -- purchase rates. Find out more about the Westpac 55 Day Classic Card and the Westpac Low Rate credit card below to see how you can make your interest rate fit your financing plans.
The Westpac 55 Day Classic Card vs the Westpac Low Rate Credit Card
The Westpac Low Rate credit card is your typical no-frills credit card. It features a regular low interest rate, reasonably low annual fee, and a balance transfer offer. If you're looking for simplicity and a lack of surprises a few months down the road, this might be the card for you.
The Westpac 55 Day Classic Card on the other hand starts you off with an even lower interest rate -- extremely low actually. And the annual fee is lower. On the surface it might immediately look like the better Westpac credit card. However, that extremely low interest rate expires after several months, leaving you with a much higher purchase rate if you haven't paid off your balance yet.
It might be ideal if you just want to finance one big purchase up front, but if you plan to regularly carry a balance you're probably better off paying a slightly higher annual fee for the lower regular purchase rate of the Westpac Low Rate credit card.
The Westpac Altitude Credit Card -- Giving You More
Westpac credit cards offer more than no-frills options. For example, the Westpac Altitude credit card features a flexible rewards programme. You'll have a higher annual fee and interest rate (so pay off the balance in full to take advantage of interest free days), but you'll get something back for all of those routine purchases you make.
The Westpac Altitude credit card even gives you two cards -- a MasterCard with generous rewards points earning potential, and an American Express tied to the same account that lets you earn even more rewards points per dollar spent.
