Coles Group Credit Cards

The Coles Group offer two credit cards, a standard and a Gold credit card.  They are both administered by GE Money and the card processor is MasterCard.  They offer a good set of rewards for both flights and for petrol.

The cards both have interest rates that are quite high compared to similar cards on the market, but they do not have any annual fees which can significantly cut the costs of the credit card. (more…)

Coles Group Source MasterCard

The Coles Group Source MasterCard is a card that is supplied by the petrol retailer, the Coles group.  It aims to offer savings on fuel and also offer other shopping benefits including discounts and offers.

The Coles Group runs all the Coles and Shell petrol stations around Australia.  The card is actually issued by GE Money, who specialise in providing finance to retailers.  Although this is usually for loans, it also provides support for credit cards. (more…)

GO MasterCard

GO MasterCard is a credit card offered by General Electric consumer finance.  It is an unusual card in that it has interest free offers open on certain goods, but these goods change from shop to shop.

The card grows out of GE Finance’s speciality of offering consumer finance to enable shops to sell big items.  This is the core of their business in Australia, and easing the ability to buy large goods was the reason why GE set up its consumer finance arm in the 1930s. Today they are one of the world’s largest consumer finance companies in the world in their own right.  In some ways the card can be seen as a logical extension of GE Finance’s core business.

GE Money

GE Money is the financial arm of the giant American industrial company, General Electric.  It has been involved in financial services since the 1930s and is one of the largest financial service companies in the world.  It offers a large number of credit cards.  GE also offers account protection insurance that covers a card holder’s debts if they were to lose their job, die or become seriously injured.  Another service that it offers is a 24 hour service centre.
