The Citibank Platinum MasterCard is a prestige card that is offered by Citibank and processed by the second largest credit card processor in the world, MasterCard.

Platinum cards are designed to be “beyond gold” in that they have a higher threshold for being allowed to have one, usually decided by income and credit scores.  They also have a higher fee, in this case $250 per year (and $90 for additional cards) but in return they have a higher provision of services.  Among these services are concierge services and personalised rewards. BP Credit Card

The petrol company BP (formerly British Petroleum) offer a credit card in conjunction with Citibank and MasterCard.  The card is currently called the BP-Citi MasterCard.

The card is essentially a money back card.  These reward cards give money back for purchases made with the card.  In effect they are charging a merchant fee to the shop to process the card and sharing some of this amount with a card holder.
