Not every credit card comes with a rewards program, and of those that do, not all offer the same rewards, or rewards of equal value. Many basic rewards programs offer points that can be exchanged for frequent flier miles, for example, and many credit card holders are content with the rate of return. For other users, who may travel more frequently or who wish to begin travelling consistently, these generic frequent flier rewards are usually not enough to satisfy their aspirations. Not only that, they may also earn mileage points on specific airlines, while excluding ones that may be more advantageous for the user.
