Using credit cards to book a holiday

Credit cards are used for many things, but there are specific advantages to using one for booking a holiday.

Many credit cards provide travel insurance when the card holder books a flight or holiday using the card. But it only works when the flight, holiday, or hotel booking is made using a credit card that specifically offers the coverage, and not when a credit card holder pays with another method such as a debit card or cheque. That is, the travel insurance does not cover the person, but the journey.
